Very evocative film in a rural setting providing insight into the enduring impact of the 2nd World War on the people of Nagasaki. The city may be rebuilt and thriving, but those that survivors the atomic bomb cannot forget the trauma, death and sense of terror from that day that changed everything for them.

The grandmother is a very intriguing character, who helps the younger generation to get some understanding of her experiences, with minimal explanation.
