Despite directing a favourite film of mine, The Gift, yet again Sam Raimi produces something I just can barely watch (Drag Me to Hell was the last). This one I couldn’t even finish & stopped after an hour. Like Drag Me to Hell, this is completely ridiculous and absurd. Whether the director means for it to be this way, well, I don’t care. Just awful. 

I don't normally write reviews, there's enough out there of most stuff to make an informed decision on - but this needs saying: This is simply dreadful. Acting is awful, and the movie manages to bypass all the usual standard build up and character building (not that there is any characters to build), the female lead General nods her head after saying anything, as if being proud she got the words out correctly. It's so bad it's not even worth watching if you're perverse enough to like to waste your time watching 'bad movies' - seriously, life is too short. Avoid. I was forced to give it a star, but it's a zero.
