Electricity

Poor Agyness

(Edit) 14/05/2016

This project probably looked good on paper to Agyness and her acting coach slash management team. The only good thing about this film is that Agyness has proved she can actually act well but she should change aforesaid management team because this one is a major stinker, really boring where nothing interesting happens at all. I totally agree with reviewer AM's 'star vehicle' comment. The director seems to be desperately channeling Mike Leigh without any success at all. If I had gone to the cinema to watch this I would have walked out halfway and demanded a refund. But don't worry, if you are still interested you will probably see it listed soon on Channel 4 at around 2am. That's only if even they decide to pick it up on the cheap. Sorry Agyness, there's definitely a better one out there for you!

Now You See Me

Meh

(Edit) 20/02/2016

My colleague James and I regularly discuss movies and TV series we are watching at the moment or have already watched and when I told him I had this Blu Ray at home and was about to watch it tonight he said that he had already seen it and it was 'meh'. I was confused as we are both normally quite descriptive/constructive/critical about the things we watch.

After watching it tonight I realised James actually got things spot on. The visuals are really good but you are just not drawn to the story and I found myself answering emails and net surfing during the movie. So if you have people round, yes have it on in the background but if you fancy settling down and watching a movie then 'meh'.
