Scream 6 was the almost perfect modern-age Ghostface movie until the third act. Plot armour central. It had the ingredients for a kickass finale and some of the best scenes of the franchise but.. plot armour. Aside from that, Scream 6 reinvents the franchise by giving us a more brute force approach to Ghostface and diverts your expectations from the getgo.

I am kind of 50/50 on this movie. I like the premise and actually quite liked the characters but something felt off. Considering the budget, I think it did well to stick with practical effects for the chimp even if, at times, it is obvious that it's someone in a suit. It has some good edge of your seat moments that would make a rewatch in the future worthy.
