- Synopsis:
BAFTA-nominated Gwen Taylor stars as Barbara Liversidge, a blunt-talking, heftily opinionated and occasionally ranting Yorkshirewoman in this hit comedy series. 'Porridge' and 'Allo Allo's' Sam Kelly is Ted, Barbara's long-suffering cab-driver husband of 35 years, and a man who learned long ago to play second fiddle, while 'Coronations Street's' Sherrie Hewson is her nouveau-riche sister, Jean - the victim of many a withering look and practised put-down. In this third and final series Barbara's diminishing amount of tolerance is put to the test when Ted's acerbic mother comes to stay after she is expelled from yet another retirement home. Ted has his own problems with a pair of argumentative transvestites, while Jean discovers that her new boob job really isn't up to scratch... - Actors:
