A black comedy about a son's undying love for his undead mother! Life just hasn't been the same for Ed Chilton (Steve Buscemi - Reservoir Dogs, Fargo), since his beloved mother (Miriam Margolyes - William Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet) passed away. Sharing the house with cantankerous Uncle Benny (Ned Beatty - Deliverance), he quietly goes about keeping the memory of his mother alive, that is until he meets salesman A.J Pattle (John Glover - Batman & Robin). Pattle is selling an unusual product - life. For a price he promises that he can bring Ed's mother back to life, just the way she used to be. Ed accepts Pattle's offer, and is overcome with joy when there before him stands his mother! However, life gradually becomes a nightmare, as Ed starts to see changes in his mother, such as a more violent approach to the chores, and having to eat cockroaches in order to stay alive! Realising he's made a big mistake, Ed tries to track Pattle down, desperate to find a way of putting his mother back where she belongs. When he finally locates Pattle, it turns out the solution may be too much for poor Ed. What's a loving son to do?
