Heinrich Himmler oversaw Hitler's secret police, instilling fear in the German people as well as its enemies. The Gestapo's agenda was to wage war on anyone who was a threat to the Fuhrer's power and would torture, interrogate and even execute many citizens who were considered political disisidents, the disaffected or a religious minority.
