Tuesday, February 4, 2014, at 20.00, live via satellite, high-definition from the Teatro Regio in Turin, Madama Butterfly by Giacomo Puccini opens the curtain to the new year of La Grande Live Season 2013/2014 Microcinema.
"The most heartfelt and evocative I have ever designed" with these words, the great composer from Lucca called his Madama Butterfly after the first performance in February 1904. A 110 years after the first staging, the troubled Japanese tragedy of James Puccini's lives and lands on the big screen live from the Teatro Regio in Turin, in 100 Italian cinemas, thanks to Microcinema Distribution in collaboration with Rai.
We are in Japan at the end of the 800, the "Abraham Lincoln" docks in Nagasaki, where he landed Lieutenant Pinkerton of the U.S. Navy.
