United fans roared when Rio lifted the Carling Cup at Wembley, as 'The Reds' continued the 2008/09 season as they finished the last one, by collecting yet another trophy. Sir Alex promised his young guns he'd reward their hard work in getting United to the final and that's exactly what he did, with Darron Gibson, Danny Welbeck, Jonny Evans and Ben Foster all in the starting line up. With the game deadlocked after 120 minutes, Wembley braced itself for the drama of penalties. Now it was time for heroes. Giggsy stepped up first and calmly slotted home, before man of the match Foster saved O'Hara's spot kick and from then on, the final result was never in doubt. Tevez and Ronaldo scored confidently and when Bentley fired his penalty wide, 20 year old Anderson stepped up to stroke home the winner and United fans celebrated another piece of silverware.
