Murder Once Removed (1971)

Early 1970s made-for-TV murder mystery. John Forsyth stars as Dr Ron Wellesley, a small-town doctor who becomes romantically entangled with Lisa Manning (Barbara Bain), the wife of his wealthy patient Frank Manning (Richard Kiley). The two hatch a plot to get rid of the husband and abscond with his money, but have not reckoned on the vigilance of local police detective Phil Proctor (Joseph Campanella) and Wellesley's observant colleague Nurse Regis (Reta Shaw).
