- Synopsis:
The entire third series of the succesful comedy show that centres around two very different couples and a local village cricket team. It stars some of the most popular TV comedy personalities (Timothy Spall, Josie Lawrence, Brenda Blethyn and Robert Daws), and is based on a stage play by former hell-raising actor Richard Harris.
1. The New Pitch
It's a momentous day for the Brent Park Cricket Club as the team prepare for the opening ceremony of their new pitch and pavilion,
2. The New Player
A motorised lawn-mower - a present from Kevin and Maggie to Roger and Mini - turns in a star performance,
3. The First MatchBob is staying at the Dervishes, having been thrown out by Ginnie, Mim does her best to cheer him up - but she doesn't get fair,
4. A Happy Event
Kevin and Maggie have a painful discussion about their fertility problem - he cannot forgive Maggie for lying to him,
5. Lost
A traffic jam on a country lane and arguments between husbands and wives stop play...
6. Match Cancelled?
Mim tries to persuade Roger to cancel the match against Piggy Pearson's team, because of the incident with his divorced sister some time ago,
7. The Blessing
Maggie and Kevin attend the rehearsal for their wedding but they aren't as enthusiastic as organisers Mim and Roger - who are clearly in their element,- Actors:
