Remember when you were in health class and the teacher decided to put on a film rather than lecture? Do you remember how some of the films were so serious they were almost funny? This DVD is an interesting chance to relive those education films from an adult perspective. The A2ZCDS guys put together this collection of vintage films about problems adolescents faced in the 1950s.
Some of the problems ? one clip discusses what it?s like to not develop as quickly as your friends ? may seem quaint in today?s post-Columbine world, but there is a sense of universal truth and hope for the future that extends through all of these clips
Of course these are sanitized for the 1950s mentality ? the film discussing "good" and "bad" girls says that bad girls French kiss! One is forced to wonder what these people would have thought about modern sex education classes. Overall this is a very good collection. Some of the films may make you laugh out loud, but they are all well intentioned. - Studio:
