Brittas (Chris Barrie) is back inflicting manic mayhem on his long suffering team. Despite Brittas' efforts, the Leisure Centre is making progress. Sebastian Coe (OBE) even pays a visit, only to end up manacled while the Leisure Centre is under siege. On Gordon's day off the staff are amazed to see Colin (Michael Burns) looking surprisingly clean, smart and…sweet smelling. Surely Brittas hasn't left him in charge? In fact they learn that Colin has a daughter Stephanie who is arriving from Tasmania. He has never met her, and in his letters Colin has exaggerated the truth somewhat. Everyone agrees to let Colin pose as manager for the day. All goes well, until Brittas turns up unexpectedly to pick up a pen he left behind. Brittas too is making progress and intends to apply for a new job as teh British Representative on the European Leisure Industry Standards Committee. He intends to make a good impression with dinner at the European Board of Management, but his wife Helen (Pippa Haywood) is dreading it so much that she contracts lockjaw. Brittas then, is left looking for another partner. Meanwhile, the staff are behaving strangely after watching a hypnotist's show - Carole is croaking, Linda is barking and Colin is telling everyone he loves them and taking his trousers off. Helen too is not without her own mad moments and borrows £300 from the Leisure Centre's petty cash to buy Wayne, an ex-cabaret dog, whose repertoire includes removing ladies' bras and unzipping men's flies…Finally, Brittas inadvertently causes a gas leak and the centre burns. No-one can find Gordon - is this the end for Brittas?
