- Synopsis:
- Alia (Hind Sabri) grows up in the repressive atmosphere of a Tunisian palace during the Fifties. Her mother is forced to succumb to the sexual advances of her aristocratic masters, one of whom Alia suspects of being her father. The strong-willed daughter is determined not to suffer as her mother has done, and uses her talent as a singer in an effort to escape from the confines of the palace.
