I watched this film without once getting up from the sofa.It grips from the start as Tom Hanks becomes the master mariner taking on the job of guiding a container vessel through the dangerous waters of the horn of Africa.

Modern piracy is well portrayed with all it's desperation and anarchy.

A couple of winges though.

First, the USA navy seals who are deployed to save him manage to fly the atlantic, cross Europe and Africa in record time! And secondly,the tense stand off when Tom Hanks is in the lifeboat with the pirates waiting to be 'saved' seems a bit muddled.

Apart from that, a great film.
