Rent Cookers (2001)

Cookers takes the classic 'haunted house in the woods' tale and gives it a contemporary twist by making the protagonists speedfreaks. After stealing a huge stash of drugs, junkies Hector and Darena plan to cook up an enormous batch of crystal meth and get rich quick. They pitch up at an abandoned farmhouse in the woods with Hector s friend Merle. Paranoid and tormented by demons and terrifying visions, they fall prey to their descending spiral of drug use and mysterious hallucinations causing the trio to turn deadly against each other. Winner of Best Film at Screamfest and the Milan International Film Festival.
