The Nose: Metropolitan Opera (Smelkov) (2013)

Metropolitan Opera production of Shostakovich's opera based on the story by Russian author Nikolai Gogol. The story concerns a St Petersburg civil servant,Kovalyov (Paulo Szot),who wakes up one day to discover that his nose has gone missing. As he embarks on an increasingly surreal journey to recover the absent nose,he discovers that it has assumed an identity of its own. Andrey Popov and Alexander Lewis co-star.
