Yangin Var (2011)

Turkish drama in which a nationalistic firefighter, forced to visit a Kurdish city against his will, undergoes a spiritual transformation. Kosman (Osman Sonant) is a firefighter in the town of Cayirbagi. When a Kurdish city, Diyarbakir, gives the town the gift of a fire engine, Kosman is unhappy to be assigned the duty of collecting it. Kosman, a self-confessed Turkish patriot, has been annoyed by the long-running Kurdish struggle for independence and has no desire to visit the city. However, forced to embark on the journey, his prejudices and preconceptions are soon challenged by the reality of the people and their culture, as well as a series of unexpected events.
