Mysteries of Lisbon

Mysteries of lisbon

This film is the closest a film gets to a novel . Its Very dreamlike and believable. Moving between Portuguese and French. Also accurate account of how the aristocracy lived there lives .the clothes , manners , buildings, and emotions are all so real , i escaped this arrogant digital world for a few hours , if your heart yearns for that world it won't be disappointed . There's a fair bit of cruelty , as you'd expect . American and English directors often think historical movies are easy to make . They forget the subtlety , they don't get under the skin , but raoul ruizjdoes and I shall be looking for his work
