Three Colours: Blue

Blue For Freedom

(Edit) 29/09/2006

I saw Three Colour Blue, many years ago and watching it again recently I found that it was as emotional as all those years ago! Juliette Binoche who plays the part of a woman whose husband, and daughter die in a car crash finds a way to overcome her loss through simple things, and she is even able to take in the fact that her husband was having a relationship with another woman! Juliette eventually accepts the fact that her husband's music must outlive him.

A Mighty Heart

A Mighty Heart

(Edit) 01/04/2008

A deeply emotional film in which Angelina Jolie and Will Patton, as well as the other actors play in this film in a truly realistic way!!

A Mighty Heart shows how a journalist, David Pearl becomes the victim of fundamentalists, in Pakistan, and his wife Marianne's progressive state of happiness turning into harrowing fear and despair as the investigation to find David takes place

The Road to Guantanamo

Road to Guantanamo or to Hell!!

(Edit) 16/11/2006

I watched Michael Winterbottom's drama documentary, which shows how 3 young british muslims were arrested in Afghanistan and then taken to Guantanamo, at the US X Ray Camp and Delta Camp. I found it unbelievable that in the name of a war against terror, those who claimed to bring justice actually brought more terror by ill treating men who were not convicted of any crimes!!

Lovers of the Arctic Circle

Lovers of the Arctic Circle

(Edit) 11/01/2007

I have enjoyed Julio Medem's tale about two young people, Otto and Ana, whose story start when they were children, and leads them through ups and downs, but always with love at its heart, back to the past, and Otto's grandfather, who is German, to Finland, after their youth in Spain. The film takes us through their own trip into the past and their future.
