The 1974 Albert Finney version was always going to be hard to beat, but with an all-star cast like this, it should have been a *good* film at least.
The focus was all on Poirot (perhaps because Branagh himself was directing it), and it seemed like the other actors barely had any lines, or it was so poorly written that there was no opportunity for characterisation. What a waste of their talent.
None of the humour, suspense or glamour of the original movie. Dull, dull, dull.
