The play from the actors is good, especially Emily Blunt who was made for the role. The special effects are also solid. The choice of songs is also very good and refreshing without copying the original movie. However, the quality of the singing, unfortunately, falls below the one in the original movie. Julie Andrews's singing is just unbeatable. The movie also does nothing to shed some more light on the main character, Mary Poppins, whom we still know little about, where she is from, why is she coming to Earth, and how can she be called upon? This was a disappointment and a missed opportunity to me. However, it was a nice surprise to see Dick Van Dyke return for this new movie.
