The discs are ordered the wrong way around for some reason. Matilda & Eleanor (currently marked as disc 3) is the first episode, followed by Isabella & Margaret, with Jane, Mary & Elizabeth as the final part. If you watch the episodes, they contain a 'next time' section at the end which makes it clear. The episodes are pretty much standalone, but it does make more sense to follow the history chronologically as intended as there are a few references back to the earlier women.

Despite my DVD player being less than three years old, it is apparently too old to play this disc. Don't waste your money/credits if you're not sure this will definitely play on your machine.
