Not for the squeamish - Cadfael: Series 3 review by Maureen
As ever, the Cadfael films are well produced and directed. This CD, with three films, is set in the time of the Civil War ravaging Britain, with pro and anti Stephen characters being so convinced that they are in the right that they are more than happy to kill or torture Matilda's supporters. Whereas all the films with Brother Cadfael, played very well by Derek Jacobi, include a murder for him to solve in the Poirot manner, using his little grey cells, this threesome is particularly violent.
