The plot is rather unconventional for its time, with the bewitching Jan Wiley playing a seductive club dancer whose fortunes change dramatically when she is arrested and jailed at the instance of her agent. Jan's charm and acting capabilities have been put to good use by director Donald Brodie, who is better known for his acting skills in the various roles he played in a distinguished career spanning over 200 movies. Janet Scot's portrayal of bubbly and doting Aunt Sarah is delightful and livens up a tense drama, while the hulking Eddie Dunn plays the perfect villain, providing the audience with a few heart-stopping moments of outrageous treachery. A lively musical score and the fabulous sense of continuity crafted by screenwriter Elizabeth Hayter ensure delightful viewing.
