- They say the clothes make the man. But in this thoughtful portrait of fashion designer Nary Manivong a self-taught sewer who transcended his homeless adolescence to show at New York Fashion Week the man definitely makes the clothes. In addition to telling Manivong's story, filmmaker David Swajeski also trains his cameras on culture vultures and industry insiders, who dish on the harsh realities and potential rewards of the fashion world.
