Ekk Albela (2016)

Shekhar Sartandel writes and directs this Indian biopic which follows the legendary actor and director Master Bhagwan (Mangesh Desai) as he sets out on an unlikely journey from modest beginnings to superstar of 1950s Indian cinema. The son of a textile worker, Bhagwan initially struggles to break into the film industry and is forced to settle for a number of small roles in silent movies. However, after beginning to produce and direct his own work, Bhagwan teams up with popular co-star Geeta Bali (Vidya Balan) to finally earn his big break.
