In a role specially written for him, Ronnie Corbett is hilarious as the eternally frustrated Timothy Lumsden. One of the most successful comedy series of the 1980s, Sorry confirmed Corbett as a British comic institution. Is Timothy ready to leave home? Who will check he has his vest on? Who'll make sure he's eaten his semolina bubble 'n' squeak? After all, he's only 48. But, with the aid of the escape committee - his sister Muriel and her husband Kevin - it seems he might just break out of the maximum security wing of Ravenscroft Avenue. Of course, there are many hurdles in buying a house: the survey, the offer, the mortgage and for Timmy, the hardest one of all - the mother! Phyllis isn't going to let her little boy go without a fight. Blackmail, divorce, even cooking an edible dinner for once, are all weapons in her armory. For Timothy there is one overriding motive. It seems he'll never get the girl until he's free. And when Pippa crashes into his life - he realises, it's now or fishcakes for breakfast, forever ...
