- France is in turmoil and a new, naive King (Tom Taplin) finds himself manipulated by the evil Cardinal Richelieu (James Cosmo). With a corrupt commander of the royal guard by his side, the Cardinal employs the expertise of the devious and wicked Milady de Winter (Preeya Kalidas) in a plot to bring down the monarchy and drag the country into war. As France burns the Cardinal will take control. All that stands between them and victory are the remnants of an elite group who wore loyalty to crown and country. Above all else The Musketeers will stand against the odds to foil this deadly plot.

Cheap B Movie - The Three Musketeers review by JR
It's a cheap feeling B movie. The script is cheesy and cliche. The acting varies, but D'Artagnan is not a great actor which is a shame as he's one of the main characters. The sound is really lacklustre, and the fight scenes have no impact and look very amateurish. I love Musketeer movies but I'm afraid this one is a miss.

The lead/main character is truly awful.
It looks like they just grabbed the first kid they saw in drama lessons.
We lasted about 5 minutes before being beaten by his terrible acting (the scripting was pretty poor to) and turned it off.
Infact i just noticed what is normally the lead character in the tale of the musketeers (Dogtanion or whatever his name is) isnt mentioned in the films synopsis.....!
Defo one for the 'worst films of all time' list.

Positive points - good locations, good costumes
Negative points - truly dreadful script with truly dreadful directing, giving rise to totally wooden acting and a generally dire film.
Decided to call it a day not even halfway through ..........
