This film has a lovely gentle humour that balances well against the macabre plot. Tom Wilkinson and Aneurin Barnard play their parts beautifully and the whole thing bowls along quite nicely. Much kudos to the Director for making a very good film.

Unfortunately, a large number of the disks in this series are missing. According to the box sets on Ebay, there should be 9 disks covering the 24 episodes in this series. They only made one series. I have now bought the box set from Ebay and am looking forward to seeing them all.

Pretty to look at. Packed with well known actors - shame they don't have much to do. I love the idea of going back Into Donna's life and tying that in with her daughter's story. It does get a little muddy, but generally well told.

Meryl Streep sings a song with Amanda Seyfried towards the end of the film. It is beautiful and very moving - a hymn to mothers and daughters.

Cher is Cher and does not add much to the film in my opinion.
