Synopsis:
A helicopter tour over the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution and over the stunning rural landscape in which Manchester nestles. Manchester came to world attention in the commercial boom of the early 19th Century when towns such as Wigan, Bolton, Bury and Rochdale virtually doubled their populations every decade and "reached out to touch each other with fingers of brick". An entertaining commentary skilfully guides us round a city typified by its entrepreneurial spirit.
