Documentary narrated by Dale Webb about the 1940 Dunkirk Evacuation. When the Battle of France resulted in large numbers of Allied troops being surrounded by German forces,British Prime Minister Winston Churchill ordered that those remaining be withdrawn from the location. Thanks to a controversial Halt Order issued with Hitler's approval days before, the British evacuation was a success. However, not every soldier who was there survived the ordeal as many were forced to surrender to Axis powers. Included in this documentary are first-hand accounts by some of the soldiers who were present at the time and who have now come together to pay tribute to those they lost and to share the memories of their difficult time together.
