I first watched this movie nearly 20 years ago and it’s one of those films that stays with you forever. I’ve thought of it often over the years but never found it anywhere until now. It’s a beautiful, thoughtful meditation on earth’s last day - and what a mix of eccentric, morally complex and well-written characters choose to do with it.
