Manchester by the Sea
Totally disappointing.
Was looking forward to watching this after reading the critics reviews. Totally arty farty with foul language, gave up after 30 minutes.
Secret in Their Eyes
Most enjoyable.
Was most impressed with the acting of Chiwetel Ejiofor in the lead role. Nicole Kidman was rather wooden while Julia Roberts was good in support. A very enjoyable film with a twist in the tail.
Pirates of Somalia
A different view of the pirates.
This film was a different view of the Somalian piracy problem, seen from their side. Different forms of media have made them out to be
violent murdering people. Other nations have ransacked their fish stocks and taken their income and food and left them little option other than to turn to piracy. This untrained, unqualified, would be journalist becomes their lifeline to the outside world. A sometimes funny, lighthearted view of a very serious problem.
The Hitman's Bodyguard
Enjoyable caper.
Tongue in cheek action and comedy. Nothing new but enjoyable to watch. Some of the action was worth a rewind to watch again.
