Funny, poignant, bit surreal without getting overly silly - important kind of story. Really enjoyed it.

Requested this in order to refresh memory of the original film in the light of the recent Carey Mulligan version. Have to say new version doesn't hold a candle to the original, which is still incredibly powerful. Some good casting in the new one, but Terence Stamp's Troy is unsurpassed.....and this original is firmly rooted in Hardy in a way that the new one just isn't.
