Claudio Abbado: Jubilee Collection (2010)

A collection of concert recordings highlighting the repertoire and body of work of the renowned conductor,in celebration of his 80th birthday. Featuring performances from the Berliner Philharmoniker,the Lucerne Festival Orchestra and the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester,the set also includes the documentary 'Hearing the Silence' (2005),which traces the conductor's career from his time as musical director of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan,to his involvement in the formation of both the Chamber Orchestra of Europe and the Lucerne Festival Orchestra.
