Kabuliwala is the simple but endearing story of a man who is known by the name of the beloved land, but poverty and a mountain of debts force him to leave, along with a little girl called Binnie.
In Binnie, Kabuliwala sees his beloved little daughter whom it broke his heart to leave behind. In Kabuliwala, Binnie sees a simple godfearing fatherly figure. The bond between them grows, as does the kabuliwala's pile of hard-earned money. Soon he has nearly enough to pay off his debts and go home, but when he goes to collect his last debt, the man refuses to pay and insults him. Blinded with rage, kabuliwala stabs him. Refusing to tell the lie that could save him, he is sentenced to 10 years imprisonment. When he is released, he arrives at Binnie's house on her wedding day to find that she was grown up to be a beautiful young lady.
Does Binnie remember her childhood friend? Does he go home to see his own little daughter as a beautiful bride?
