- Recent widow Mercedes (Conchita Montes) nostalgically recalls her years of marriage with deadly-dull Ramón (Guillermo Marín) and concludes that she was unhappy. While traveling by train to Madrid, a psychic makes her see that there was a time she could have chosen another partner and shows her what life would have been like with the other suitor, Miguel Ángel (Rafael Durán).
