Showing just how competitive the 2012 MotoGP season was, with four races to go, it was all still to play for as Yamaha s Jorge Lorenzo battled Spanish rival Dani Pedrosa for the first World Championship title of the 1000cc era. Pedrosa s Honda teammate Casey Stoner's ambitions of making his mark in his last season were hit by injury, while Tech3 s Cal Crutchlow and Andrea Dovizioso seemed to be playing out their fierce rivalry on every lap of every race.
