- Planetes is a Japanese anime series about the crew of a space station designed to protect the Earth’s many satellites from debris in Earth’s orbit and the damage it could cause. The series follows the many men and women about the station and the dangerous and adventurous space walks they must go on to deal with the debris and problems that could affect not just the satellites they are tasked with protecting but also their home, the space station designed to protect Earth and its interests.
