Marina (Llúcia Garcia) travels to Vigo to meet the family of her biological father, who died of AIDS like her mother when she was very young. Through uncles, aunts, and grandparents, she tries to piece together her parents' story, confronting the shame they feel about their struggles with drugs. The relationship she develops with her cousin allows her to reimagine her parents and, supported by her mother's diary, create her own story that frees her from the family stigma and helps her understand and reconcile with her past.
