The world looks to Scotland for the best woollen products, and the most iconic product of all is Harris Tweed. Now, the fashion world is desperate for tweed. This series takes the high road to the Hebrides to chronicle the state of affairs in the beautiful but storm-lashed place where this tweed is made by weavers working at home on foot-powered looms. We tell how and why Harris Tweed has come perilously close to extinction.
