Synopsis:
Celebrating their 40th Anniversary in 2014, The Enid became pioneers of the successful fusion between Rock and Classical. 'En Concert á Crescendo' is the bands first live film since 2010, showing how The Enid has progressed since the arrival of lead vocalist Joe Payne in 2011. In this show The Enid perform music from across their 40 Year back catalogue. This is an opportunity to enjoy the latest versions of classics from In the Region of the Summer Stars, Aerie Faerie Nonsense, Something Wicked This Way Comes, The Spell, Tripping the Light Fantastic and their 2012 release Invicta.
The video will be promoted on the road throughout 2015, including a special UK tour of seated theatres where the band will be performing a seamless theatrical spectacular The Bridge Show. Upcoming festivals include the largest UK Prog Rock festival, HRH Prog 3. Festival appearances also include Giants of Rock Festival (UK) and Prog Dreams (NL). A selection of popular standing venues will also be visited throughout Summer 2015.Since his early work as Music Director for heritage bands such as Barclay James Harvest, conducting orchestras at the Royal Albert Hall, and assisting the production of Pink Floyd albums at Abbey Road Studios, Godfrey built The Enid to become a vehicle for his own compositions. The Enid is best remembered for work such as In the Region of the Summer and something Wicked This Way Comes.
