In the peaceful town of Marlow, retired archaeologist Judith Potts (Samantha Bond) fills her time setting crosswords for the local paper - until she hears a gunshot coming from her neighbours' garden and suspects a brutal murder has taken place. With the police reluctant to believe her, Judith teams up with dog walker Suzie Harris (Jo Martin) and vicar's wife Becks Starling (Cara Horgan) to investigate. After uncovering a vital piece of evidence, they're brought in to assist DS Tanika Malik (Natalie Dew) in her official investigation.
