Waldbühne 2005: French Night (2005)

The Waldbiihne in Berlin, one of the most appealing outdoor amphitheaters on the European continent, is the home of the Berliner Philharmoniker's summer concerts. With over 20.000 in attendance, they are some of the most popular classical music concerts in the world. In 2005 Simon Rattle conducts the Berliner Philharmoniker and the extraordinary pianists Katia and Marielle Labeque. The French born Labeque sisters are known not only for the senselessness of their playing, but also for their superlative musicianship and extraordinary scope of repertoire.
