The Man Who Never Was
Very watchable
An interesting watch based on real-life events. Very 1950s RP accents. Loved Gloria Grahame. However the plot is pretty much covered in the blurb, and the fact that the Germans didn't win the war kind of gives away the ending. Still enjoyed though - it was a very rainy Sunday afternoon type of film.
A United Kingdom
Should have been better
An interesting story and like other reviewers I then went and read up about the real-life couple, but I felt that there was zero chemistry between the main actors. I was really looking forward to this film and felt very disappointed by it.
Independence Day: Resurgence
No better second time round
Saw it at the cinema and wasn't impressed. Thought I'd give it another go - I was right first time, it really isn't good. That said, I will probably watch the third film.
Joy
An okay watch
It was mildly interesting, but I didn't really care about any of the characters. Also, Joy's personality seems to radically change in the last 20 minutes of the film.
