From 1995-97, Dennis Pennis was the UK's first celebrity interviewer from hell. From behind the respectability of a BBC microphone, this punkoid Woody Allen would stalk the pampered world of the rich and famous and cut them down to size, pouncing with intimate, juvenile or downright rude questions. If the celebrity world is a swimming pool, Dennis was a veruka waiting to happen. Those mugged by Paul Kaye's bespectacled ginger menace included Mel Gibson, Madonna, Tony Blair, Ian Botham, Tom Hanks, Cher, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Steve Martin, Kevin Costner, Pierce Brosnan, Chris Eubank, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Richard Gere, Sharon Stone, Sandra Bullock, Demi Moore, Hugh Grant, Alan Hansen, Peter Stringfellow and many more.
