Set in the 1930s, Bonnie (Dorothy Provine) teams up with young partner Guy Darrow (an alias for her real-life partner Clyde Barrow) and embarks on a violent crime spree, robbing petrol stations, springing her husband from prison and holding up banks. It is the story of a bitter woman who has suffered at the hands of men for too long, and is now fighting back.
