Rent Trauma (1993)


From Dario Argento, the master of Italian horror cinema, comes a dark and disturbing tale of murder and revenge. As a city is terrorised by a maniac whose serial crimes involve the beheading of apparently unrelated victims, 16-year-old Aura Petrescu escapes from a sanitorium to return home to her Russian immigrant parents. During one of the seances that her mother holds on a regular basis, the killer strikes without warning and Aura's parents are brutally murdered. Frightened and alone, Aura is convinced that she will be the killer's next victim. Her only hope lies with David Parson, a graphic artist whose curiosity is aroused by Aura's paranoia and anxiety. Together they uncover a curious link between each of the murder victims that may explain the killer's motive. Now they must race against time to uncover the murderer's identity before Aura becomes the next bloody victim... Packed with dazzling visuals and genuinely shocking set pieces, this extra¬ordinary tale of fear and suspense is one of Argento's greatest achievements.
