Stage producer Leonard Sillman gained fame for the assorted "New Faces" musical revues he spearheaded over the decades on Broadway. Each featured top young talent, many of whom went on to forge stellar careers in stage, screen and television. This 1952 Broadway production features sketches written by Ronny Graham and Melvin Brooks but with a wraparound fictional romantic plot about an angry creditor from Texas who is determined to close the curtains on a Broadway show. Eartha Kitt vamps across the screen and belts out several numbers including "C'est Si Bon," "Santa Baby," "Uskadara," and "Monotonous." Ronny Graham and Paul Lynde each impersonate a gallery of comical characters. This fascinating film also captures all of the backstage excitement before and during a show
